Want to look fall head over heels for, not only your man, but also for your outfit this Valentine’s Day? Finding the perfect Valentine’s Day Outfit has never been simpler. Whether you love it, hate it, or hate to love it, Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to buy that cute dress you’ve had your eye on and celebrate.
It is the season for conversation hearts, exchanging cards, red roses, and secret admirers. It is the time of year where you can wear pink and red combinations without looking cheesy. Cue the heart emojis! I’m pretty sure that this holiday alone, keeps the chocolate, card, and flower companies in business for the rest of the year! Whether you believe it is just another made-up Hallmark holiday or a day to truly celebrate the ones you love, make 2018 one to remember.
When you think Valentine’s Day, you typically imagine a little red dress, the holiday’s signature color, with a glass of champagne and a romantic dinner. However, not everyone celebrates Valentine’s Day with candle lit dinners and horse-drawn carriages. In fact, I plan on staying in with husband and ordering a heart shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day this year!
Whether you’re like me and want to stay in, or have big plans out on the town, finding the perfect outfit shouldn’t be like waiting to be struck by cupid’s arrow. It can be easy to get lost in a sea of red garments and come home from the store with even less of an idea of what to wear. Or spend hours in front of the mirror and not feel confident in what you’re wearing. Stop stressing over Valentine’s Day outfits and, instead, spend your time focusing on getting your significant other the perfect gift! Here are 3 outfit ideas, which are sure to steal your heart no matter what you have planned for Valentine’s Day!
If your idea of the perfect Valentine’s Day is staying in with your significant other for Netflix & chill (like me!), go for an ultra comfy, yet cute look. After all, you still want to show you put a little thought into the outfit without getting dressed up.
In this look, I am wearing a cozy pajama set that is perfect for the chilly February nights. I have festive, Valentine’s Day themed socks with a funky kiss pattern on them. I am also sporting a cute, yet feminine, hot pink lip.
Cuddle up on the couch with your significant other and a bowl of popcorn in this comfortable, yet adorable look. Enjoy spending time just the two of you and don’t worry about your outfit!
I got this furry, Sherpa set for Christmas and unfortunately the top is sold out, but the shorts are on clearance and you can shop them here.
There is also a jumpsuit made out of the same cozy fabric! Shop it here.
Casual dinner & a movie
A relaxed night out with appetizers, a few drinks, and a rom-com with your other half is sure to create a romantic mood. Or maybe you’re flying solo for Valentine’s Day. Nothing wrong with that! Go out with the girls and have a great night. Wear something that’s sure to impress your friends. Better yet, it may even impress that cute guy enough to buy you a drink. Either way, opt for a mixed casual, yet dressy look for a friendly night out.
In this look I am wearing a sultry lace top with black denim and statement heels. This look is perfect for a casual date night or spending time with the girls. It is just dressy enough without being too over the top. The top and shoes are dressy, while pairing them with jeans takes the overall outfit to a more casual level.
Cheers to Valentines day! Raise a glass and enjoy your evening out!
Dressed up out on the town
If you’re going all out for valentine’s day to a fancy restaurant or a black tie event, you should choose a romantic dress. Don’t want to go for the obvious little red dress? There are other options that are just as festive for Valentine’s day.
In this look I am wearing a floral print knit dress with shades of pink and red. I also layered a red lace jacket on top of the dress for warmth and flare. I paired edgy flats with the look to add an unique edge. This is a dressy look for a nice restaurant without screaming Valentine’s Day. However, if you’re going somewhere more formal, consider these tips when choosing a formal gown.
Choosing the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit is sure to make your day special and hopefully earn you a kiss at the end of the night. No matter what your idea of the perfect Valentine‘s Day date is, there is always a great outfit option to complement it.
